Check out my 1st Trimester Must-Haves here. Really can’t believe I’m already in the third trimester…only a couple more months and give or take a couple weeks to go!
Liz Lange for Target Maternity Dress Pants – hands down these are my favorite work pants. I bought these in black and also in this gray pattern shown here. They are more expensive than what I wanted to spend, but they were the only dressier pants I liked with a full belly panel that actually covered my whole belly. They’ve stretched very well now into my third trimester.
Burts Bee's Mama B Body Oil – I alternate using this stuff with cocoa butter lotion each night. I had stretch marks prior to getting pregnant so I wasn’t counting on this stuff to prevent more from coming, but so far so good! It has really helped to moisturize my skin. Also, it smells awesome – reminds me of the massage I got on our honeymoon in Mexico :)
Camera – Even if you don’t want to take weekly pictures, I highly recommend taking a picture of yourself at least once a month so you can see your belly grow. It’s hard looking at yourself in the beginning part of the second trimester where you’re feeling more bloated than preggo, but towards the end of the trimester, you will definitely see a difference! I’m so glad I’ve kept up with my weekly pictures and recaps.
The Pregnancy Countdown Book – I have written about this book before in one of my weekly recap posts, but I wanted to include it on this list as I still recommend it. It’s funny, includes a good mix of medical info with real mom insights, and who doesn’t like a countdown?
JCPenney Lace Trim Maternity Tanks – I cannot say enough how much I love these tanks. I have two of the lace ones and then also bought two shelf-bra tank tops, as well. They’re long enough, roomy in the bust, and were the cheapest I could find ($7 on sale). I’ll probably keep wearing the lace trim ones post-pregnancy.
Planter's Daybreak Blend - Berry Almond Trail Mix – I found these convenient packets at Target a couple months ago. They’re 180 calories which isn’t too bad for a trail mix, considering it’s mostly nuts. But the best part is they contain 50% of the iron you should eat each day. I eat one of these each mid-morning at work to help keep me full until lunch.
Old Navy Leggings – I was so happy when I found a pair of these at my local Old Navy. The full belly panel is very comfortable and they made it easy to wear a lot of dresses and boots instead of dealing with pantyhose. They are a little thin, but for the price it’s to be expected. I also had good luck with the full belly panel leggings from Motherhood Maternity – I ended up grabbing a gray pair.
Special K Cracker Chips – I’ve gone back and forth with having either sweet or salty cravings. When I’m craving something salty, I’ve tried to stick to these chips since they’re not as bad for you compared to regular chips. The sour cream & onion ones are my fav :)
Natural True Raspberry Lemonade Packets – I’ve been trying to drink more water each day, so usually I’ll have one of these packets to mix it up a bit. These are my favorite since they’re made with Stevia instead of the other fake sugar substitutes.
Pinterest – I was obsessed with Pinterest before I got pregnant, but was using it even more once I started nursery searching. I also have been using it more recently to find maternity picture inspirations.
Snoogle – This body pillow is a little pricey (luckily mine was a Christmas gift), but it’s seriously worth every penny. I only have had hip and back pain a few times so far and I really think it’s because this pillow gives good support.
That’s all I have for the second trimester! It was actually hard coming up with must-haves for this trimester, as I’ve been very lucky to have an easy past few months. Let’s see how the third one goes… :)
Good luck in the third trimester! :) Love reading your weekly posts!
